			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Greek philosophers commenced theorizing about the nature as composed of elements like water, earth, ether etc. This nature or environment has always been a jamboree for the inquisitive souls. This is precisely the reason that man has left no stone unturned to explore it. In talking about nature and environment related issues, the foremost question that comes to my mind is that what is environment? Have you ever pondered over the fact that it is not just the foliage and fauna but also the air you breathe, water you drink, things you touch and perceive and even the food you eat that constitutes your environment! You are encased by environment everywhere and anywhere. This environment has friends as well as foes. In case of opponents, the rational selves inject most of these. For instance factories produce and introduce many toxic compounds in the environment that are hazardous for the entire mankind. This article will shed light on some of the significant environmental enemies that envelope us all round the clock. </p>
<p>1.	The harmful pollutants like carbon monoxide, lead, sulphur dioxide etc constantly pollute the air around us. Carbon monoxide is a poisonous compound, excess inhaling of which can be unexpectedly detrimental. Studies have revealed that CO enters into our bloodstream and causes breathing disorders and even cardiac arrest. </p>
<p>2.	Lead is another fatal element that attacks the nervous system and is largely responsible for causing evils like anemia and high blood pressure. Lead can be threatening to life. So it is better to keep a check on the release of lead in your surroundings. Reducing the consumption can do this and judicious use of lead based products and like paints, batteries and radiators etc.   </p>
<p>Other pollutants too that enter the air and water we consume and destroy the sanctity of environment like depletion of the ozone layer are very dreadful. They can result in usual minor problems like common cold to major ones like asthma, bronchitis and conjunctivitis etc. </p>
<p>In order to avert the infection due to these pollutants or germs it is better to built up a strong immune system. Although much of immunity is genetically inherited yet it can be significantly improved by intaking nutritious and balanced diet and exercising regularly.  </p>
<p>3.	When we talk about pollution, noise pollution is also quite disturbing and annoying. A surge in the noise pollution level due to the escalating traffic, industries and factories leads to hazards like insomnia and lack of concentration.</p>
<p>4.	The sun that enlightens the whole world can even be damaging at times. The excess of suns heat and ultraviolet rays that creep into the earths atmosphere due to the exhaustion of protective ozone layer, cause many dermdisorders amongst individuals. To avoid these perils as much possible, wear sunscreen lotion, sunglasses and covered clothes while moving out in the sun.     </p>
<p>5.	Apart from the pollutants like smoke and other toxic gasses, the pesticides that are sprayed in the fields and on the crops have an injurious outcome. Through the vegetables and fruits we eat these pesticides composed of poisonous chemicals like DDT, Methanol, carbon monoxide etc. enter our body and harm it. Therefore it is advised to wash the fruits and vegetables thoroughly prior to eating or cooking.</p>
<p>6.	The radiations that are released in the atmosphere due to nuclear reactions, nuclear tests, mobile phones, computers and the like are also a source of danger. </p>
<p>7.	The enhancement of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere has resulted in global warming which has turned out to be a massive threat to life on earth. Planting more trees and plants that enrich the air with oxygen can prevent global warming. </p>
<p>Safeguarding oneself against the environmental rivals is also a way to cease the damage we do the environment&#8230;think about it.</p>

<p>I wouldnt be so sure if I were you.</p>
<p>Unless you have had a recent type-specific blood test to test for the presence of herpes simplex antibodies you cannot say with any certainty that you dont have herpes.</p>
<p>You think that only 20 of the population has herpes?</p>
<p>Think again.</p>
<p>You may have heard that one out of every five people has herpes, but that number is untrue and a distortion of the facts. The truth is that at least 60 of the adult population has herpes.</p>
<p>Some people for reasons known only to them decided to exclude people who get herpes above the waist- people who get so-called cold sores on their mouths and faces, from the herpes statistics commonly reported in the media, then reporting only the percentage of people who get herpes below the waist- so-called genital herpes. This makes no sense at all since the scientific literature doesnt classify herpes simplex 1 cold sores as a different disease as herpes simplex 2 genital herpes- but rather as two different types of the same disease which are almost identical genetically, and since many of the new cases of herpes of the genital area are actually caused by people getting herpes simplex 1 on their genitals from oral sex. There really is no such thing as  cold sores it is simplex herpes simplex 1 of the mouth or face. And those who have it need not be in denial pretending that its anything other than herpes simplex. The truth is that you can get herpes simplex 1 on almost any part of your body including your nose, your elbows, your fingers, your stomach, your genitals, your anus, etc. The truth is that herpes simplex is herpes simplex and it is only misleading to not include the people with herpes simplex 1 in herpes statistics.</p>
<p>Somewhere between 20 and 25 of the population get their herpes sores below the waist and somewhere between 50 and 80 of the population gets their herpes sores above the waist. If you factor in the number of people who have both herpes 1 and 2 at the same time, you are left understanding that at least 60 of the population has herpes simplex. Which rings true when you consider that 70 of the adult population has HPV genital warts or cervical dysplasia and that 80 of the adult population has had chlamydia at least once.</p>
<p>This is the reality of our times. There is almost no adult who has had more than six sex partners who hasnt caught a sexually transmitted infection. Including yourself. Including myself.</p>
<p>You say youve been tested before for sexually transmitted diseases and are clean?</p>
<p>I wouldnt be so sure. Herpes and HPV are almost never included in routine testing for sexually transmitted infections. Some doctors have the attitude of Almost everyone tests positive for herpes so why bother testing. Unless you have specifically asked for a type-specific blood test for herpes such as the Western Blot test you have probably never had an accurate herpes test. Swabbing for the presence of herpes can and often does render false negative tests. I know that from personal experience. The doctors told me twice that I didnt have herpes before accurately testing me positive for herpes although I had already had a very obvious primary outbreak.</p>
<p>I strongly encourage you to get a type-specific blood test for herpes if you believe that you dont have herpes or are unsure of your herpes status. If you test negative for herpes it will allow you to make some decisions regarding safer sexuality to help keep you herpes free for the rest of your sexual history. If you test positive for herpes it will allow you to decide to treat your herpes and make safer sex choices to help you to not infect others and make this epidemic worse. Not only is it the ethical thing to do it is also the sane thing to do since herpes makes you more vulnerable to HIV and HPV and may have some possible links to certain types of cancer and alzheimers. If you dont know you wont get treatment. Knowledge is empowering. Denial is irresponsible.</p>
<p>You say you are sure you dont have herpes because you havent had an outbreak?</p>
<p>Most people with herpes, maybe up to 70 dont get noticeable outbreaks. You may be having sub-clinical subtle outbreaks or may be shedding virus asymptomatically without symptoms. You could be infecting others with herpes without knowing it.</p>
<p>Dont be afraid of getting a herpes test. Herpes can be effectively treated by a combination of diet, stress reduction and herbal medicine or by drug therapy. There is no cure but it possible to go years between outbreaks.</p>
<p>I still believe that most people when given a choice prefer to the do the right thing. Getting tested for herpes is the right thing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>If you were to stop a noontime crowd on the street and ask them to name their most valuable asset, most wouldn&#8217;t hesitate to identify their homes as the greatest asset they own. Others may nominate a well-funded 401k or a shiny sports car as their most valuable asset.</p>
<p>If so, they would be overlooking an asset that came into their possession the day they were born. It&#8217;s an asset that many of us under appreciate in our callow youth but can see how it pays great dividends as we grow older. The asset I&#8217;m talking about is our health. Many people, however, must not think very highly of this strategic asset in their personal portfolio. Why else would they treat their health so shabbily by making poor lifestyle choices such as overeating and under exercising? We&#8217;ve all heard about how unhealthy we are as a culture-with obesity, diabetes, cancer, and heart disease at all time highs. Newsmagazines and &#8220;2020&#8243;-type shows report that we&#8217;ve become a fat, sick, and tired people. Is that any way to go through life?</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t believe so. Ten years ago, while I was a college student, I learned that if you don&#8217;t have your health, you ain&#8217;t got nothing. My body was ravaged by several diseases leaving me a bed-ridden 104-pound stick figure who nearly died. <p>One can find hatred for our bodies everywhere.  On the street, you can hear a total stranger complaining about the size of her thighs to a friend.  In the grocery store, you see the man looking at the nutrition facts with a puzzled look on his face.  In magazines, almost everyone is airbrushed.  So, its no wonder why we dont love ourselves like we should.  We are constantly surrounded by negativity that tells us that we are never good enough.  We should not be happy until we achieve that certain number on the scale, right?  Wrong.  </p>
<p>The most essential thing for people to incorporate into their life is personal development or self-improvement.  Personal development can help people shed the layers that they hide behind.  Personal development is just wanting to better yourself.  Self-improvement can help a person unravel who they are and morph into who they want to become, which is someone that loves themselves.  Anything is achievable when you learn to work on yourself.  Nothing seems too far away.  </p>
<p>Personal development is what will help teach you how to accept and love yourself, along with any flaws that you may have.  It is also the stepping stone for you to start making important, positive changes in your life that will ultimately change your eating habits.  </p>
<p>There are many things that can be done with personal development to help Binge Eating Disorder.  The first thing that one can do is to stop surrounding themselves with any negative talk.  Negative talk is any thoughts or conversation that you enter that is negative.  These thoughts and conversations will not help you to become more in love with yourself.  They will make you see all of the bad that is in you.  Your mind will be clouded.  Learn to appreciate the positive and beautiful things in your life.</p>
<p>Another thing that one can do is to start reading personal development books and listen to audio tapes.  Instead of watching television at night, read a good book that will teach you how to appreciate yourself.  While driving to work, pop in a personal development CD that will expand your mind and get you to start thinking about what changes in your life you want to make.</p>
<p>When you start to accept your body and love it in the present, even though it may not be exactly what you want forever, your mind will start to change and you wont be so hard on yourself.  Imagine how our lives would be if everyone gave themselves a break and just accepted the way they were at any given moment.</p>

<p>When we drift off to sleep, we either fall into a deep, restful sleep, or into a shallow, light sleep. It becomes obvious that if you experience a deep sleeping for few hours, it will be better than sleeping for long hours while experiencing a shallow sleeping as you will find yourself very tired, and your body is exhausted when you wake up.</p>

<p>Many studies make it clear that the amount of sleep each person needs varies and depends on many factors, including age. Infants generally require about 16 hours a day, while teenagers need about 9 hours on average. For most adults, 7 to 8 hours a night appears to be the best amount of sleep, although some people may need as few as 5 hours or as many as 10 hours of sleep each day. Women in the first 3 months of pregnancy often need several more hours of sleep than usual. The amount of sleep a person needs also increases if he or she has been deprived of sleep in previous days. Getting too little sleep creates a &#8220;sleep debt,&#8221; which is much like being overdrawn at a bank. Eventually, your body will demand that the debt be repaid.</p>
