Under the arm breast augmentation helps increase the size and shape of the breast. Women undergo this under the arm breast augmentation for several reasons.

The breast augmentation surgery helps make the breast in correct shape with the body ad gives self esteem to them. It even reduces the volume of the breast after pregnancy. The breast augmentation enlarges or reshapes the breast, which has lost its original shape due to breast feeding and aging. Under the arm breast augmentation involves the placement of saline behind the breast tissue or under the chest wall. It is similar to the method of breast implantation. But the reasons differ. The women with shapeless breast can readily opt for this method. Before the under the arm breast augmentation, initial consultation must be done with reputed plastic surgeon, certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. They will examine the womens health fully and apply the suitable surgical techniques, according to their health condition.

Women opting for under the arm breast augmentation must explain about the drugs or other medicines she is taking. Most importantly smoking women must tell her surgeon about her smoking habit. Since smoking could delay the process of healing and may result in other complications. Surgeon will choose other alternative. The under arm breast augmentation can give a more positive self image.

The under the arm breast augmentation is done under general anesthesia. A small incision is made under the breast or under the arm and a saline implant is gently inserted under the breast tissue with the help of elastic bra, the breast position is corrected. Initially it will create some discomfort, but it can be controlled with oral medicine. The sutures are removed in 7-12 days.

Normally implants used for under the arm breast augmentation are smooth shelled. It gives a perfect womanly look. Implants can be placed to the patients wish. It can be placed under the arm endoscope method around the incision of about 3 to 4 centimeter. The under the arm breast augmentation can provide a full, perfect shape to the breast. It is 100 per cent safe. It enhances the feminine curves and increases the self confidence. The cost is affordable and price worthy for the surgery which is going to provide self dignity. Side effects are rare. It can be either swelling or bruising. But, it will decrease within few days. Under the arm breast augmentation is not painful. The patient can perform her routine activity within 3-4 days.

Liposculpture is a term that is growing among expert cosmetic surgeons to describe liposuction that is done with smaller instruments and specialized treatments to not only make the process more efficient, but to also speed the healing process. Think of liposculpture as the next evolution of basic liposuction.

Liposculpture is a way of improving body contour without noticeable scars. Large amounts of fat are removed through a very small skin, usually less than a quarter inch. This is a little rougher than non-invasive cosmetic surgeries, though recovery is still much faster than it used to be. When fat deposits are proving extremely resistant to diet or exercise, liposculpture can help re-shape your silhouette.

The fat cells removed by liposculpture do not come back. The benefits of liposculpture are long lasting, as long as a healthy lifestyle follows, which includes exercise and a proper diet. This is very important because although the removed fat cells dont come back, an unhealthy life style can produce the old problems all over again. Virtually any part of the body can be treated, from thighs to legs to stomach to sides to back, and it is a very effective treatment, but you still need to take care of business afterwards.

Liposculpture is increasingly popular among men. Everyone wants the image that is imagined with a healthy life style, and liposculpture is especially successful for areas specific to men such as love handles, stomach, chin, and chest, which even exercise and healthy habits may not be able to fix to their satisfaction.

If you choose to have this surgery, there will most likely be soreness and bruising. How long and how heavy this is varies from person to person, but it should resolve itself out within 3 weeks, if not before. There are a few things you can do to help expediate the process, including warm baths and gentle massages. Dont be discouraged if you dont see results the next day, it actually takes several weeks before you can clearly see the end results of the cosmetic procedure.

This brings the question of is Liposculpture For You? Cosmetic surgery, like any surgery, has its risks. You should always ask a doctor about these before undergoing the procedure. If satisfied with the answers, then maybe this is the right treatment for you. This is especially true if you have good skin tone, but a moderate amount of excess fat. If thats the case, this way be the way for you.

So, how do your pecs look? For many men, impressive chest muscles are a must. If you cant get them or dont have the time for exercise, cosmetic implants may be the answer.

Cosmetic Surgery for Men Chest Implants

When we think of people who are unsatisfied with their chest size, we usually think of women. Many women are unhappy with the size of their breasts, and some of them choose to undergo breast augmentation in order to enlarge their size or correct their shape. However, women are not the only ones who go under the knife to have cosmetic surgery on their chests. More and more, men who are not happy with how they look are seeing doctors about getting chest implants.

Chest implants are just what they sound like implants that are placed under the skin in the pecs to enlarge this area. The implants used are made of solid silicone, and are considered very safe by the Food and Drug Administration. They are not the same as traditional silicone breast implants, which were made with silicone gel that could leak and allegedly cause medical problems. Solid silicone implants cannot leak, and they stay in the same shape for as long as they stay in the body.

The reasons that men choose to have their pecs augmented vary. Some men feel that no matter how much they exercise and lift weights, they can’t build up their pecs to a large enough size. Chest implants can increase the bulk and overall projection of the pecs to a size that will satisfy these men but they will not add definition to the chest area, this must be accomplished through exercise. Other men may have medical conditions or congenital defects that have caused the underdevelopment of the chest area, so an implant will correct this deficiency.

Men planning on having this procedure will need to stop working out one to two weeks prior to the operation in order to have the area be prepared to accept the implants. They will also need to allow about four weeks of recovery time before they can go back to rigorous exercise. The average cost of chest implants is around 7,000 and there are some complications that can happen, such as migration of the implant or general problems with the incision or surgery. Luckily, if a problem does arise and the implants need to be removed, this is a simple procedure.

Chest implants can give some men the confidence they need to go shirtless or otherwise show off their chests. These implants represent another area where cosmetic surgery has expanded to provide a solution to a problem. Make sure to discuss the options for your specific situation with a qualified cosmetic surgeon.

Rejuvenate yourself Youthful, brighter eyes with a cosmetic surgery Brow Lift

Your eyebrows frame the most important feature on your face. After all, your eyes are the window to your soul, and people connect with you through them! All eyes are beautiful, but sagging skin or abnormalities can detract from their beauty.

A brow lift is a simple procedure that can make a dramatic difference in the entire look of your face. It can be one of the easiest ways to correct the facial problems that prevent you from putting your best face forward!

What Can a Brow Lift Do For Me?

Do you have eyelid bags, excess or sagging tissue around the brow and upper eyelid that hangs down over the lower lid, making you look tired or sad? A brow lift can lift the sagging tissue, bring your eyes out of hiding, and make your eyes appear larger and more open.

If you have frown wrinkles between your eyes, a brow lift can eliminate them.

If you have an eyebrow deformity, a brow lift can correct it.

Do you wish your brows had more of an arch or a different shape? This can usually be accomplished with a brow lift.

If you wish your brows were better positioned on your face, a brow lift can create a more symmetrical and natural look. By lifting your brows upward, you will appear fresher and more energetic.

What Happens in a Brow Lift Operation?

You are given a general anesthetic so that you are asleep for the entire operation. Five incisions are required for a brow lift, but they are so tiny that your hair need not be trimmed. Three are placed on your scalp above your forehead hidden by your hair, and the other two are made within the hair next to your temples.

The surgeon then lifts the tissue upward and repositions it based on your desired results. This procedure lifts any sagging skin and reduces wrinkles.

Scars generally heal very well and are hidden by your hair. You may even shampoo the day after the operation.

This procedure is called an endoscopic brow lift. Sometimes an endoscopic brow lift is performed along with eyelid correction surgery, which actually removes excess skin and fatty folds in the upper eyelid, creating a tiny scar in the upper eyelid that is hidden within the crease.

What Can I Expect After the Operation?

A brow lift is an outpatient procedure, so you can go home the same day. You will need someone to drive you home, however, as you might be sleepy from the anesthetic.

For two to three days following the operation, you will have some swelling, and your forehead will feel tight. Your eyelids may be bruised for about two weeks, but this can usually be covered by makeup after five to seven days. Patients generally experience less bruising with an endoscopic brow lift than with eyelid correction surgery. For before and after photos go to

You may experience a mild headache for the first couple of days after the surgery, for which you will receive a prescription.

Within two weeks of the procedure, your stitches will be removed, and you can return to work.

Your brows will probably be lifted slightly higher than you wish them to be in their final position. This is because they will drop somewhat as the tissues relax during the first few weeks after surgery. If your brows appear too high at first, you may compensate with makeup until they settle into their correct position.

Your eyebrows may not be perfectly matched even after surgery, but this is actually more natural. No one has eyebrows that are exactly alike, and the differences will be too slight to be noticeable.

A brow lift will not hinder your natural facial expressions at all. You will retain all of your normal eyebrow and facial movement abilities.

What Are the Risks of a Brow Lift?

While there is risk with any surgery, the risks of brow lift surgery are extremely small. You will be given written material to read, and all potential risks will be discussed with you prior to your decision to have a brow lift.

You and the doctor will evaluate and discuss the best brow position for you in order to achieve your desired results. Dr. Arthur Millman will strive to give you a natural look while correcting the problems that concern you, view before and after photos online at

What is the Recovery Schedule?

Headache and forehead tightening is usually gone within 2-3 days.
Bruising and swelling is usually gone within 5-10 days.
Stitches are removed, and you may return to work or other social activities within 7-14 days.
Brows will relax into their final position, and you may resume exercise or athletic activities within 14-21 days.

Basic background

Cosmetic surgery consists not just of enhancing someones beauty, but also to help those who have been badly damaged in an accident or who have physical birth defects. Many believe that women are the main gender that go for cosmetic surgery. Yet studies have shown that 11 of men are also getting cosmetic surgery – in fact since 1992, the percentage of men getting cosmetic surgery has gone up by 50. Middle aged men see plastic surgery as an investment in their career prospects. It is important to know that it is neither sex nor age which makes some type of aesthetic surgery procedure feasible, but what is important is a good general health condition.

The stress of being beautiful is taking a strain on many people. People are spending about 10 of their gross income on cosmetic surgeries. Regarding age, there are some procedures such as facelift which are more frequently done on people over 40; however there are people over 55 who still may not need it. On the other hand, there are also patients under 40 who may benefit from this surgery.

Talk to a cosmetic surgeon to see whether you really need extensive changes in your appearance. Learn if a face lift is right for you. Talk it over with partners, friends, spiritual counsellors or life coaches if need be.
Cosmetic surgery covers a wide range of procedures, including obesity and weight loss surgery, breast augmentation, liposuction & face surgery. A facelift can be done alone, or in conjunction with other procedures such as a forehead lift or an eyelid surgery. Alternatives to surgery exist. Laser cosmetic surgery may be performed around the eyes or the mouth. More consumers are considering injectables to prolong or avoid facelifts, forehead lifts and eyelid surgeries.

Eyelid surgery

Sagging upper eyelids or bags under the eyes can be one of the clearest signs of facial ageing. Patients interested in eyelid or eye brow surgery may have noticed drooping or sagging of the skin around the eyes. Eyelid surgery, technically called blepharoplasty, corrects not only the eyelids but also eyebags. Often, the procedure is done with another cosmetic operation, such as a facelift. To remove your eyebags whilst lifting your face is only a matter of more time for the surgeon. The goal of eyelid surgery is to remove excess skin gravity and sun exposure damage. Patients usually request for surgery to remove eyebags and to firm the lower eyelid area. In lower eyelid surgery, the surgeon makes the incision in an inconspicuous site along the lashline and smile creases of the lower lid. This is a very effective way of performing the surgery without leaving any obvious scarring.

Facial surgery

The face as a whole must be considered if the optimum outcome of cosmetic surgery is to be achieved. A facelift can help rejuvenate the lower face, giving it a fresher, healthier appearance. The face lift works well for the jaw line and the neck. By improving facial muscle tone, you can literally lift years off your face. Muscles, fat and deep tissues of the face are all lifted and repositioned so skin is draped over more youthful contours. Most surgeons agree that the best time for the first facial cosmetic surgery is whenever it is needed. Microdermabrassion and non surgical face lifts are alternatives to surgery, in conjunction with a natural facial with elements such as green tea that promote skin wellness. It is also recommended to use facial and body massage therapy after treatments to relax you and speed your recovery. Face aerobics are terrific and can save money in cosmetic surgery.

Personal testimony of facial surgery

The following is a true personal testimony written by a good friend of mine, Bethany Lee, specifically for this article and with her full permission. She is keen to share her experiences with others who may read it.

I had cosmetic surgery some years ago my first operation was for my eyes. I had very many creases around them and was unhappy with my appearance. I contacted an agent for cosmetic surgery, thinking about whole face surgery. After a discussion with her, she convinced me to start by having correction around my eyes. The operation I had was performed under local anaesthetic although this method isnt entirely suitable for many people as it is quite painful. It is possible to have it done under general anaesthesia, or twilight anaesthesia. Some tie it in with other surgery such as a facelift procedure. Still, I opted for the local anaesthetic – I found it comforting to be able to talk to the surgeon and his nurse and know what was going on, but it is not for the faint hearted. The operation itself took about one and a half hours and I was able to have a cup of tea, don dark glasses and go home. I was given pain killers, antibiotics and eye ointment .

The painkillers were hardly needed. Although very bruised and swollen when I arrived home, my husband could see a remarkable difference in that the operation had completely removed my eye bags and wrinkles around the eyes. After the bruising and swelling finally went down less than a week the difference was amazing. I could see better and I looked so much younger. I was absolutely delighted. It set me off.

I was worried about my developing jowels. There was no doubt about it the cosmetic surgery loomed. I contacted the same agent I had seen before, and she showed me how my face would look after surgery. This time I opted for a full face lift. The operation took 4 hours and this was done under general anaesthetic. I must admit I suffered a lot of bruising – more than most and it took about a week to settle down but after fortnight I was transformed. I found chewing sugar free dental gum useful, it helped me exercise my jaw and kept things moving. I looked better, felt better and started to look after myself more. It gave me the incentive to start exercising again. People were complimenting me on how well I looked. The incision lines were in well hidden places in my hair line and behind my ears, so there was no way anyone could actually tell that I had undergone surgery.

I was told the eye surgery would last 7 years but it is 15 years now and they still look good. Just a very slight wrinkling on the left side, which is easily correct with makeup. I have regularly used creams to keep my skin in the best possible condition. I know that people say that a cheap cream is as good as an expensive one but I refute that totally. I have bought most of the creams on the market and find that Syence is by far the most effective. This is one of the few creams that has scientifically documented proof that it thickens the skin useful in the more mature lady! I find it invaluable, as it has kept my face very soft and near on wrinkle free.

Finally, I would say find a good cosmetic surgeon. Ask around, do not go for the cheapest or the most expensive – go for reputation. See photographs of his work if possible and ask questions. Its your money and your face you have the right to demand the best. Naturally things can go wrong but rarely do and they can be put right. I find yoga is a great help as it keeps mind and body in tune. A good balanced diet of fresh organic fruit, vegetables and olive oil add to a healthy skin, which will always help set you on a good road to quick recovery.
You will experience a little pain but speak up and it can soon be eased. At the end of the day it will be worth it!

The rhytidectomy, or much more commonly known as a facelift, is a cosmetic surgery specifically designed to restore a more youthful appearance by removing major obvious wrinkles and sagging skin from the facial area. The procedure involves tightening of the facial and neck muscles, as well as actual removal of any excess skin. In doing so the patient should find his or her appearance to be several years more youthful than before. In some good cases, a patient may look as many as ten years younger!

The skin naturally begins to wrinkle and sag as a result of age, sun exposure, and genetics. Children and young adults have smooth, round faces due to evenly distributed tissues in facial contours. Over time, the skin sags and folds. This is particularly occurs around the chin, jaw line, and neck. Not only does a facelift improve facial appearance but also has a dramatic effect on the chin and neck, enhancing the patients profile. Though as dramatic as the end results are, unlike several other types of cosmetic surgery, a facelift is not a simple procedure, and requires anywhere from one to two weeks of rest to make a full recovery.

This is a procedure that does actually demand some work from the patient beforehand. Before going in, avoid drugs that contain aspirin for several weeks prior to surgery to minimize excess bleeding. You may be required to take antibiotics to prevent infection. Depending on the doctor, you may be instructed to shampoo your hair the night before surgery.

For the procedure the surgeon will make incisions inside the hairline at the temple, then around the earlobe and behind the ear, ending at the scalp area. Excess skin is removed and sagging muscles and connective tissues are tightened. In some cases, fatty deposits may be removed from beneath the chin and neck. Incisions are closed with small sutures. The surgery may take up to 5 hours, depending on how many other facial procedures are being done in conjunction with the facelift.

There will be a lot of swelling afterwards, but after about two weeks the patient should notice a steady recovery beginning. Scarring fades quickly. In the time following surgery the patient should avoid the sun for several weeks after surgery. The main thing to remember is that the healing process takes time. It is gradual, and so the final results may not be noticeable for even half a year. Keep patient, and soon enough the positive results will become clear.

The past few years have seen a dramatic change in the public perception of cosmetic surgery in Britain, leading to a sixty five per cent increase in demand in 2004 alone. In fact, so popular has cosmetic surgery become that it is hard to turn on the television or open a magazine without encountering stories of lives transformed as a result of work being done. Vastly improved treatments and increased social acceptance has lead to cosmetic surgery becoming a normalised practice, as viable and realistic to the housewife as it is to the Hollywood star. None of which is surprising, considering the very real and immediate benefits cosmetic surgery can bring to the patients appearance and self-esteem.

However, cosmetic surgery can still be beyond the budget of many, which is why there is a growing trend for people to travel to parts of the world where the standard of expertise and post-operation care is just as good as in the United Kingdom, but up to sixty percent cheaper. Such savings are made due to favorable exchange rates This is particularly significant when you consider that medical health insurance doesnt cover the cost of elective cosmetic surgery. So now patients are choosing to enjoy holidays to exotic destinations such as Malaysia and Thailand in addition to improving their appearance.

No country is more suited to this combination than Brazil, land of sun and sea and the body beautiful, and second only to the United States in terms of the number of surgical operations performed every year. The 3500 plus members of the Brazilian Society of Plastic Surgery are renowned for their experience and expertise, which makes sense when you consider that 80 of all plastic surgery in the United Kingdom is reconstructive, whereas 80 of all plastic surgery in Brazil is cosmetic, and that cosmetic surgery magazines clutter up the shelves in newsagents the same way that computer and golf magazines do here. The level of service in the Brazilian private health sector is extremely high, to mention all of those wonderful beaches you can strut your stuff down after youve made a full recovery!

Of course, another benefit of having cosmetic surgery abroad is that it guarantees total privacy, so that you wont need to worry about friends, neighbours and work colleagues seeing you in the immediate aftermath of the operation. You can recover in a relaxed environment, choose who you want to see and have all manner of complementary therapies and additional work done while youre at it. In order to make the most of your stay in the country and feel confident youve hired a surgeon with the sufficient level of expertise to carry out the work, it is advisable to engage the services of a cosmetic surgery company who regularly deals with sending clients from the United Kingdom to Brazil, or your country of choice. This will also insure that you are given the appropriate level of follow-up care, including careful monitoring in the days immediately following surgery. Not only will this give you piece of mind, but it will save you money as the company uses contacts that have been built up in the country over a number of years.

Regardless of this, it is worth understanding that all types of surgery carry a degree of risk and that surgical results differ from person to person and depend on many factors, including the patients age, medical history and health, and that results may be slightly different from those that you were expecting. As such, it is a good indication of the responsibility and professionalism of the surgeon that such things are discussed in detail before any operation takes place and you are aware of any complications or side effects that may occur, no matter how rare. Also, that the surgeon is available to discuss and treat side effects or complications as and when they arise. If such things are not immediately offered it is advisable to consider this a warning sign and start looking for a different surgeon. After all, you can take as long as you want selecting a surgeon you feel comfortable with, but you will be living with the results for the rest of your life.

Gravity is an irresistible force. While it is certainly nice that it keeps us rooted to the planet, it also has a habit of pulling things lower than we might like over time.

Breast Lifts Improvement Without Implants

Cosmetic breast surgery is one of the more popular areas of plastic surgery. That being said, the controversy surrounding breast implants may make you pause when considering the various enhancement procedures available.

Breast lifts are designed to fight the effects of gravity. The goal of the procedure is to raise andor reshape sagging breasts. When breast lifts are discussed, most people assume the procedure necessarily includes the use of implants. While it is true that implants can be used in the process, it is equally true that they need not be. Obviously, the choice comes down to the final result you hope to achieve and the advice of your physician. Regardless, it is important to understand that you should not assume a lift requires implants.

Breast lifts without implants can make a major difference in your appearance. One has to be a bit careful discussing the procedure because it tends to be tailored to the specific situation of each patient. That being said, the process typically involves the removal of excess skin combined with the repositioning of the remaining tissues.

In one sense, breast lift surgery is very much an artistic endeavor. The plastic surgeon is essentially acting as a sculptor. As such, you absolutely must make sure you are comfortable with their style and past creations. The best way to do this is to sit down with the surgeon and review before and after pictures from past procedures. This is your body, so do not hesitate to express your opinions and ask questions. The surgeon will not be insulted. To the contrary, he or she would rather have as detailed an understanding as possible of your goal. He or she can then give you an idea of potential, reasonable results.

As Einstein told us, gravity is one of the key forces in the universe. A breast lift can give you the ability to counter that force without dealing with the controversy surrounding implants.

Plastic surgery includes two broad fields, namely cosmetic or aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Cosmetic surgery is performed to enhance the appearance of a person, who finds hisher body parts, though otherwise fully functional, to be unattractive. Thus cosmetic surgery is performed with a purely aesthetic intent. On the other hand, reconstructive surgery focuses on concealing the destructive effects of trauma, disease or accident. That is, it strives to improve function and impart a standard look so the patient may lead a normal life.

Reconstructive surgery is a way of veiling defects by using skin implants and tissue flaps. Either local tissue is used or tissue is transferred from another part to the problem area. Reconstructive tissue flaps comprise of skin, muscle, fat, bone or a combination of these elements. The most common reconstructive surgery is to cover the defects of burn survivors and other accident victims.

Another common reconstructive surgery is breast reconstruction for women who have had mastectomy surgical removal of one or both breasts, either partially or completely. Mastectomy is performed to combat breast cancer, or to circumvent the disease if a woman is at a high risk of acquiring it. Rhinoplasty may also be considered as a reconstructive procedure if the extent of damage to the nose cartilage and bone is rather grave. In such a case, tissue is moved from another body part and grafted in the damaged area.

One of the most prevalent uses of reconstructive surgery can be found in the field of professional contact sports. Players are likely to suffer injuries during vigorous contact sports, and such injuries can only be treated by reconstructive surgery. Though rare, sexual reassignment surgery is another example of reconstructive surgery. There is a certain gray area between cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, and distinguishing one from another can be confusing at times. But in a gist, reconstructive surgery is usually performed to correct an abnormality, and not to enhance an otherwise normal appearance.

That number is increasing as the popularity for cosmetic surgery grows. The best statistic youll hear if you are considering this procedure it has a very high satisfaction rate!

First introduced in 1979, liposuction has changed significantly over the years. When first performed, this surgery required lengthy stays in the hospital with long recovery times and even blood transfusions. Known as a Tummy Tuck, the procedure was done in a similar fashion to a c-section a big smile incision was cut from hip to hip and then removal of the skin and fat underneath was accomplished. However liposuction performed in this way resulted in patients generally not being able to walk upright for up to six weeks, suffering great pain and scarring.

Today, liposuction can be done as an outpatient procedure at one of many surgical center facilities. It is relatively painless with bleeding, infections and other complications very rare. The normal events that will occur when liposuction is planned are the following

Consultation with the doctor. At this visit, the doctor will look over the patient and draw on areas where he will be performing the liposuction. These drawings will occur around the entire body, as the doctor will normally be looking at improving the look of the body from all angles.

Day of surgery

Upon arrival, the patient may be given something like Valium to help them relax if nervous.

Demerol or other pain reliever is injected.

Lying down, the fatty areas of the body are filled with a solution of sterile salt water, adrenaline and anesthetic.

When the anesthetic takes effect, small holes are made in the skin with small needles where fat is to be removed.

A cannula, or thin tube, is then inserted into the fatty areas. Suction removes the fat through this tube and puts it into a disposable container.

After the fat is removed, you are wrapped in a dressing that stays on your body for approximately five days. Foam pads are placed on the areas where the cannula entered the skin and the patient is then placed in a garment similar to a girdle. This girdle-like garment holds the patients skin tightly and holds the foam pads firmly in place.

Recovery

Day of surgery After the procedure is completed, the patient can normally return home in about an hour. When home, many take the rest of the day off and rest or sleep.

Day after surgery Most patients feel sore, but there is little discomfort. The girdle-garment begins to feel constricting on the day after surgery.

Second day after surgery Many patients have called this the worst day of the entire experience. The overall feeling of being sore and bound up is the most unpleasant on this day.

After that, the liposuction experience just keeps getting better and better. Small amounts of activity can be done from the day after surgery and many patients are back to work by the third day after the procedure. The foam pads can be removed after the fifth day. When the pads are removed, the patient has an opportunity to see a glimpse of their new bodyand most love what they see!

The rest of the recovery period is just the body gradually healing. Drainage from the treated sites normally stops by the seventh day after surgery, the slight bruising that can occur will heal in about two weeks, and puffiness and swelling can take several months to completely disappear. The garment given to the patient after surgery must be worn for up to 4 weeks.

After the recovery period has ended, the patients opinion of the liposuction is almost always positive. Dropping a size or two can make anyone feel better about themselves.

The only thing those who are thinking about liposuction must realize is that this procedure doesnt permanently eliminate fat. If you have liposuction and return to your old habits lack of exercise and overeating, the fat will come back quickly. However, liposuction in addition to a new lifestyle of moderate exercise and healthy eating can lead to a much thinner, shapelier body in the end.
